MILAN - Roberto Mancini's son Filippo was one of four Inter Primavera players to make their first team debuts in Thursday's Tim Cup victory over Reggina.
"It was a great emotion, it's a day I will never forget and I really want to thank dad for this," said Filippo, who replaced Hernan Crespo in the 83rd minute.
"And I will never forget all the coaches I have had in these years, from my first years at Mary Mount in Rome, to Gianluca Andrissi at Inter who was very important for me, and my coach in the Primavera team, Vincenzo Esposito.
"When I came on, dad told me to play simple football and stay calm. Why did I wear the number 17? I liked that number because it's the number of my idol - Cristiano Ronaldo of the Portuguese national team.
"Now I have to concentrate on improving, without thinking about tonight's debut."
