How is Zlatan Ibrahimovic? Are you thinking of playing him against Siena on Sunday?
"We're unlikely to see him on the pitch on Sunday. He still hasn't trained with the team. The other day he started doing something here after the work he has done in Sweden."

Can you tell us a bit more about Ibra's problem? Is it worrying?
"I honestly don't know. You'll have to talk to the doctor about this. I don't know what his situation is now, or what it will be like in the coming weeks because there's a European championship that he really wants to do well in. I hope he gradually makes a full recovery."

Is this a reason why you might consider selling him if a can't-say-no offer arrives?
"Why don't you ask Ancelotti the same thing about Kaka?"

Perhaps Mancini was right about Ronaldinho, given that Milan have backpedalled...
"I don't know. You'll have to ask others. For now I'm focused on Lazio and Siena. We'll talk about the other things after these matches."

What kind of Lazio are you expecting tomorrow evening?
"I think they have been preparing for this match for a few weeks. They're mid-table so it's very important for them to do well tomorrow. We made a lot of changes in the first leg and either team could have won it. It will be the same tomorrow and we will try to reach the final. We won't be doing anyone any favours."

Physically, how is the team?
"No team is at one hundred percent when you get to the end of the season, but this is normal and it's the same for other teams. We won't be at our best, but the team is in good condition."

But Inter looked in very good form against Fiorentina the other month...
"That was an evening match and it wasn't as hot. The match against Torino was different from all the others and after that we have played at three o'clock in the afternoon and it has been very hot. The temperature affects a player's performance, especially at the end of the season. But I think Inter have the strength to play four good games, not just one or two."

Inter can win the Scudetto against Siena on Sunday, and on the same day Roma face Atalanta - like last year. Have you thought about this?
"In recent weeks I have always thought the decisive match could be one of the last ones. I didn't think it would be the one against Milan because I didn't think Roma would drop points. I was convinced that we would have a three-point lead with two matches remaining. This was the goal, we're there now and I don't think there are any big problems."

Mancini, you said earlier that it's not true that the team lacked courage against Milan, but president Moratti seems to think the opposite...
"Everybody is free to think what he wants. I think there's always someone to blame when you lose, and it's the coach. If this is what he thinks, then I'm to blame. But the nice thing about football is that everyone can see things how he wants and sees fit. Anyway, I'm fine and this is no problem for me whatsoever."

The president has confirmed you and said that everything depends on you. So why haven't you confirmed that you will stay at Inter next season?
"I have a contract with Inter for the next three years. What needs to be cleared up?"

We're asking this question because the president said that Mancini can stay if he wants to...
"I have nothing to say. You ask me this question every time. It made sense last year because my contract was expiring. But there's a contract this year and it lasts three years, so I don't see any problems."
