APPIANO GENTILE - Preparations for Saturday evening's Serie A visit of Catania began today with a morning workout at the training ground.

On his return from international duty Sulley Muntari trained with his team-mates, as did Adriano, Nicolas Burdisso, Cristian Chivu and Nelson Rivas.

Mario Balotelli (Italy U21), Francesco Bolzoni (Italy U21), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Sweden), Esteban Cambiasso (Argentina), Javier Zanetti (Argentina), Julio Cesar (Brazil), Maicon (Brazil) and Dejan Stankovic (Serbia) are still away with their national teams.

Luis Jimenez, who sustained an injury in training last week, had medical tests before undergoing therapy and a specific strength building session in the gym. The Chilean midfielder has suffered a myotendinous strain in the distal region of the rectus femoris muscle in his left leg.

Jimenez (therapy), Adriano (aerobic work), Burdisso, Cordoba, Chivu, Rivas and Samuel (specific strength building work) will undergo individual sessions this afternoon.
