APPIANO GENTILE - Nicolas Burdisso, substituted in the first half of last night's World Cup qualifier between Argentina and Chile after an aerial collision with Mark Gonzalez, telephoned Inter's chief doctor Franco Combi this morning.

"I've spoken with Nicolas, and he's fine," Combi said. "He told me he took a blow to the head but he was back to normal by the end of the game and he returned to Argentina with his team-mates.

"Nicolas has a slight headache but he told me not to worry. He said he'll return to Italy (on Friday) as scheduled."
