APPIANO GENTILE - José Mourinho held his Inter-Napoli pre-match press conference at the training ground after Saturday morning's session.

Mourinho, should a match like the Panathinaikos clash be remembered or forgotten by the players?
"I think it should be forgotten now. I don't like making the negative moment continue. The championship is the championship, it's a completely different story. I still don't think we deserve to be through in the Champions League, we qualified through luck and because of a very important victory in Athens in the first game. However, we have the tranquillity of qualification. The championship is a different story. We're top of the table and we have played two great matches and obtained two victories in the last two very important games against Palermo and Juventus. There's no need for the coach to work psychologically on the team for this clash against Napoli. Everyone knows it's a difficult game and that Napoli are a team with quality and ambition who can create difficulties for you. For this reason we are concentrated and fired up for an important game that can help the team get where it wants to. We have a three-point lead over the second-place team at the moment. These points are not synonymous of tranquillity, but synonymous of the belief, self-confidence and motivation to increase the lead, or at least keep it."

Who is Napoli's most unpredictable player?
"For me, Napoli are a team who play very well. When I analyse the opponent with my team, and we did it today, the most important thing is how the group is organised as a whole. They have a coach with lots of quality, a coach with very clear ideas about how he wants his team to play. His players have adapted very well to his style of play. They are very solid defensively, with stability in their positional play. They are dynamic in attack and very good at counter-attacking. They are a fast and creative team who are not easy to face."

When you say that the coach doesn't need to motivate the team much before the game against Napoli, do you mean that you don't have the negative feeling you had before the Panathinaikos match?
"Yes. Panathinaikos worried me for how we might go into the match, myself included, and I was fearful for us. The game against Napoli worries me because we face a quality opponent who are much better than the Greek team. We face a difficult match, but against Panathinaikos we made the game difficult for ourselves. Napoli will come to Milan to play their game and it won't be easy. I will say something I am very sure of: we play our third game in a week and go into it after a Champions League match, but I am convinced we can get back to the results we want if we have a completely different focus and attitude than on Wednesday."
