APPIANO GENTILE - More of José Mourinho's pre-match press conference ahead of Inter v Sampdoria:

Mourinho, is it impossible to think that Inter will give up the diamond midfield tomorrow and play three strikers?
"I understand the question and your curiosity. The important thing is to play well as a team and do it well. If this happens, one or two strikers will play, or Adriano and another striker or two wingers. Attitude is the important thing, and like I have just said, playing like a team. We can win the match if we do this."

In these last few days you have often said that Inter has to play like a team. Is this a message for the team after last Sunday's match in Bergamo?
"In Bergamo it was the only time... Maybe a bit against Panathinaikos at home, but in the defeats against Milan and Werder Bremen we always played like a team. Perhaps we have done better sometimes and worse other times, but there has always been the concept of the team, of psychological collaboration, of collective thought and positional empathy."

We're witnessing the umpteenth renaissance of Adriano, but it seems like it's the right time this time. Did Mourinho say anything special to the boy on his return from holiday?
"No. He's doing everything by himself. We're doing our bit by trying to help him prepare in the best way possible. We have followed him more, mainly from the physical point of view, but everything that is happening to him at the moment is just the merit of his responsibility."

Have you already made a decision as to whether or not to include Patrick Vieira in the next Champions League list, which you will hand in at the end of the month?
"I will wait until Patrick returns. We have to talk about it together. If he is able to play in the Champions League he will definitely be on the list because he is an important player. If he can't play in the cup it will be better for a physically fit player to take his place. But as I said, if he is able to play until the match against Manchester United, and we hope to have the quarter-finals after that, Patrick will obviously be on the list."

Do you feel a bit the pressure of Juventus who will temporarily join Inter on top of the table if they win against Fiorentina tonight?
"Pressure? What pressure? I don't understand..."
