NEW YORK - Four of the world's most famous football teams - Inter, AC Milan, Chelsea and Club America - will take part in the first World Football Challenge, a six-city round robin tournament in the United States this summer.

The four teams will face off at some of the most recognized stadiums across the U.S., including the Rose Bowl (Pasadena, Calif.), the Georgia Dome (Atlanta, Ga.), MT&T Bank Stadium (Baltimore, Md.), Gillette Stadium (Foxborough, Mass.), Stanford Stadium (Palo Alto, Calif.) and the new Cowboys Stadium (Arlington, Texas).

Inter will compete against Mexican outfit Club America in the inaugural match of the tournament at the Stanford Stadium in Palo Alto, California on 19 July.

"We are very proud to take part in an important event like this," said FC Internazionale technical director Marco Branca. "The international spirit is the historic core of our club. The fixtures in the United States are going to be important steps for the preparation of the following season and will give us the possibility to meet our fans in America.
