MILAN - "Until things are wrapped up, there's nothing... but I am confident." Inter president Massimo Moratti confirmed that talks to conclude the swap deal involving Ibrahimovic and Eto'o are in the final stages. "We are negotiating," continued the Inter president, who was asked about the real value of the Cameroon striker. "I'm not inventing Eto'o's value. He's one of the most important players on the market. Along with Ibra, he's one of the most wanted. It's a good chance for us to have another champion."
Massimo Moratti then commented on the declarations made by Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola in his press conference. "Guardiola said what he thinks from a tactical point of view," he said. "He prefers one player rather than another. We think Eto'o is so strong that we're not sorry that Guardiola thinks like this."
As for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Moratti's words were words of praise: "He's a very serious professional. He has always behaved well with us. He helped us win the championship and he was top scorer this year. When he has a stomach ache or not, he has done very well."
