Portuguese winger Quaresma joined Inter from Porto on 1 September 2008, with Pelé moving the other way. He signed a five-year deal until 2013.
Famed for his dribbling skills and his 'trivela', a cross or shot taken with the outside of his foot, Quaresma was nicknamed Mustang by his former coach Laszlo Bölöni for his speed and power.
At international level Quaresma won an Under-16 European Championship in 2000, making his debut for the senior national team in a friendly against Bolivia in 2003.
