84' Inter substitution – Cuper brings on Morfeo for Recoba.
76' Chievo substitution – Della Morte is replaced by Andersson.

Kallon close to making history

With last Sunday's penalty against Reggina, Mohamed Kallon has maintained his 100% record from the penalty spot in Serie A matches. The Sierra Leone striker has scored 9 goals out of 9 from eleven metres. By scoring a 10th penalty in the Serie A, Kallon will equal the record set by Adelio Moro, who scored all 10 of the penalties he took in the Italian top flight during a career which spanned the 70s and 80s.

12 points won by Nerazzurri in second halves of matches

From last Sunday, Inter have become the 2002/03 Serie A side that have improved their results most in the second periods of matches. Specifically, the Nerazzurri have notched 12 points in the second halves of games, having gone from a draw to a win in the matches against Chievo Verona, Bologna, Como, Atalanta, Empoli and Torino, and from a defeat to a draw against Lazio in Rome. The only match of the championship in progress in which Inter have worsened after the restart was the 2-1 defeat at home to Udinese (from 1-1 at half time to 2-1 at the end of the match).

Materazzi set to celebrate 100th Serie A appearance

If fielded against Chievo on Saturday, Marco Materazzi will celebrate his 100th Serie A appearance. The defender made his debut in Italy's top division on 2 February 1997 (Perugia 0-0 Inter). Materazzi was playing for the Umbrians on that occasion, while Inter are the only other Serie A side he has played for.

Vieri one goal away from 100th Serie A effort

If he scores against Chievo, Christian Vieri will join Roberto Baggio, Batistuta, Bierhoff, Chiesa, Crespo, Filippo Inzaghi, Montella and Signori as a player still in activity to have scored 100 goals in the Serie A.

No Chievo victory since 12 January

The last time Chievo Verona won a Serie A match was over a month ago when Del Neri's men beat Roma 1-0 at the Olimpico stadium. Since then, the Veronese side have gone 4 matches without a win (2 draws and 2 defeats). This series of results represents Chievo's worst run of form of the season in progress.
