Inter looking for first home win of domestic season

After drawing 1-1 against Palermo and 2-2 against Parma, the Nerazzurri are still looking for their first win at the San Siro in the 2004/05 Serie A season. If they don't beat Udinese on Sunday, Inter will equal the winless run at home at the start of the 1982/83 season, when after losing 2-1 to Sampdoria and draws against Fiorentina (0-0) and Napoli (2-2), they won 2-0 at home to Ascoli.

Mihajlovic, Veron to score?

According to the statistics, Sinisa Mihajlovic and Sebastian Veron have a good chance of scoring if they play in Sunday's match at home to Udinese. Both players count the Friuli side as their favourite target in Italy. Mihajlovic has scored 5 goals against Udinese, while Veron has scored 3 against the Bianconeri (as well as against current club Inter and Bari).

Pinzi set for 100th Serie A appearance

if he plays at the Meazza on Sunday, Giampiero Pinzi will celebrate a century of Serie A appearances. Pinzi made his top-flight debut in Parma 2-0 Udinese on 12 November 2000. Udinese is the only Serie A club he has played for.

Udinese goalless away in 2004/05

The Bianconeri from Friuli haven't scored or let in goals in their away matches of the 2004/05 Serie A season so far, with 0-0 draws in Reggio Calabria against Reggina and in Verona against Chievo. Udinese's last away goal in the championship was scored by Marek Jankulovski in the 90th minute of Parma 4-3 Udinese on 16 May. The last goal they let in on the road was scored by Alberto Gilardino in the 86th minute of the same match.

MILAN - He might have missed his flight back to Italy on Friday, but Adriano didn't miss the target at the San Siro on Sunday afternoon. The Emperor inspired Inter to a 3-1 victory over Udinese with two first-half corkers and Christian Vieri made the result safe with the Nerazzurri's other goal - his first in a competitive match since April.

The Brazilian bomber gave Inter a dream start to their first league win at home this season with a thunderous long-range free kick in the eighth minute, then doubled the score four minutes later with what has to be the best individual effort of the Serie A campaign so far. He received from Juan Veron then ran over half the pitch, dribbled three opponents and fired past De Sanctis.

Udinese pulled one back early in the second half through Mauri, who won the ball just inside the Inter box then placed his shot past Fontana. After several minutes of Bianconeri pressure, Christian Vieri restored the Nerazzurri's two-goal advantage. The Italian centre-forward took Adriano's assist past Cribari then poked home. Who said Vieri and Adriano can't play together?

Inter are next in action this Wednesday with a Uefa Champions League Matchday 3 clash with Valencia at the Mestalla.
