Inter's 225-minute invincibility

The Nerazzurri haven't let in a goal since Amauri's 45th-minute strike in Palermo 1-2 Inter on 26 November 2006. Including the second half of that match and the home wins against Messina (Coppa Italia) and Siena (Serie A), Inter haven't conceded for 225 competitive minutes.

Cruz, Crespo & UCL goals for Inter

Injured striker Julio Cruz and his compatriot Hernan Crespo have each scored 10 Champions League goals for Inter to reach Obafemi Martins in fourth place in the all-time list of Nerazzurri scorers in the competition. The two Argentines are a goal away from the top three of Jair (11 goals), Adriano (16) and Sandro Mazzola (16).

Five consecutive away wins for Inter

The Nerazzurri have put together a five-match winning streak on the road with victories at AC Milan (4-3, Serie A), Spartak Moscow (1-0, Champions League), Messina (1-0, Coppa Italia), Parma (2-1, Serie A) and Palermo (2-1, Serie A). Should they beat Bayern at the Allianz Arena, Inter will have won six consecutive away matches for the first time since an eight-match winning run between September and November in 1997 (4 wins in league, 2 in domestic cup & 2 in Europe).

Inter unbeaten in 15 games; 11 consecutive victories: new record in Moratti era

Inter are unbeaten in 15 competitive matches (13 wins, 2 draws), and have won their last 11 to set a new record for the club under the administration of Massimo Moratti. The 2-1 victory over Palermo on 26 November saw the Nerazzurri better the previous record of 8 consecutive victories, achieved by Gigi Simoni's Inter in 1997/98. Inter's last defeat was the 2-0 home loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on 27 September.

No Bayern home defeat in Europe since Nov 2004

Bayern Munich are unbeaten at home in Europe since their 1-0 defeat to Juventus in the Champions League on 3 November 2004, with 7 victories and 2 draws since that date.

Match ref: Luis Medina Cantalejo

At the Allianz Arena, match referee Luis Medina Cantalejo will be assisted by linesmen Juan Carlos Yuste Jimenez and Luis Alberto Gutierrez Perez, and fourth official Cesar Muniz Fernandez. The Spanish official has refereed the Nerazzurri on one previous occasion: Sochaux 2-2 Inter (2003/04 UEFA Cup third round first leg). Besides that match, he has refereed four other European fixtures involving Italian clubs (3 Italian wins, 1 draw), and one Italian national team match (Italy 1-0 Australia at Germany 2006). Cantalejo has taken charge of 2 Bayern Munich games, a 1-1 away draw with Anderlecht in 2003/04 and a 5-1 home win against Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2004/05.

MUNICH - Patrick Vieira scored an injury-time equaliser to give the Nerazzurri a 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich in Champions League Matchday 6 at the Allianz Arena and extend Inter's unbeaten run to sixteen games.

The Germans qualify for the round of 16 as Group B winners, while Inter will go into the draw for the first knockout round as group runners-up, meaning Mancini's side will play their last sixteen first leg at the Giuseppe Meazza.

With both teams already through to the knockout stages, the first-half was a slow-paced affair which produced little in the way of scoring chances until the last five minutes, Makaay slicing wide from a Salihamidzic cross after a counter-attack started by Lahm.

Inter went closer a minute before the break when Mariano Gonzalez struck the crossbar with a blistering right-foot drive from distance, before Makaay fired a low effort wide on the stroke of half time after being put through by Pizarro.

It was third time lucky for the Germans, who edged in front on 62 minutes when Roy Makaay controlled a long ball forward by Salihamidzic before cutting out Andreolli and firing past Toldo from inside the Inter area.

Bayern looked to be heading for victory but Inter levelled in the first minute of stoppage time when Vieira smashed home from the middle of the area after Kahn parried a Fabio Grosso shot.

Spartak Moscow recorded a 3-1 away win at Sporting Lisbon in tonight's other Group B match to earn a place in the UEFA Cup.

The Nerazzurri will discover their round of 16 opponents on Friday 15 December when the draw takes place in Nyon.
