Inter unbeaten in 14 games; 10 consecutive victories: new record in Moratti era

Inter are unbeaten in 14 competitive matches (12 wins, 2 draws), and have won their last 10 to set a new record for the club under the administration of Massimo Moratti. Last weekend's victory over Palermo saw the Nerazzurri better the previous record of 8 consecutive victories, achieved by Gigi Simoni in 1997/98. Inter's last defeat was the 2-0 home loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on 27 September 2006.

Inter's 380-minute invincibility at home

The Nerazzurri haven't let in a goal at home since Lucarelli's 70th-minute header in Inter 4-1 Livorno on 25 October 2006. Including the remaining 20 minutes of that game plus the victories over Ascoli (2-0, Serie A), Reggina (1-0, Serie A), Sporting Lisbon (1-0, Champions League) and Messina (4-0, Coppa Italia), Inter haven't conceded a home goal for 380 minutes of competitive football.

Adriano, Samuel on fire in December

Adriano, without a goal for Inter since the Champions League home match against Villarreal last 29 March, and goalless in the championship since Inter-Sampdoria on 11 March, counts December as his most prolific time of the year, with 14 of his 68 Serie A goals in the twelfth calendar month. The same goes for Walter Samuel who has scored 3 of his 12 Italian league goals in December matches.

Happy birthday Francesco!

Padua-born goalkeeper Francesco Toldo celebrates his 35th birthday on Saturday 2 December.

Siena are one of two 2006/07 Serie A teams yet to have penalty in their favour after 13 rounds of matches. The other team is Fiorentina. The Bianconeri were last awarded a penalty (Foglio scored from the spot) in Chievo 4-1 Siena last 19 March.

MILAN - Nicolas Burdisso and Hernan Crespo scored in either half as Inter dominated Siena at the Meazza to win 2-0, collect their eleventh consecutive victory and increase their lead at the top of the Serie A table to seven points ahead of tonight's Olimpico clash between second-placed Roma and Atalanta.

Burdisso, who scored twice against Messina in the cup last Wednesday, gave Inter an early lead on 11 minutes, stealing in at the near post to power home an unstoppable header from Stankovic's left-wing corner.

Inter's Brazilian keeper pulled off more heroics early in the second half with a splendid one-handed penalty save from Mario Frick after Maicon was adjudged to have brought down Antonini in the box.

Crespo added to Inter's lead on 54 minutes, beating Gastaldello to a Brevi back pass and lifting the ball over Manninger with a deft touch to notch his eighth goal of the season, including his Super Cup effort against Roma.
