Mancini v Mazzarri

Roberto Mancini is unbeaten in matches against his Reggina counterpart Walter Mazzarri, with 2 draws and 3 victories.

Disciplinary situation

Disqualified: Foggia, A.Lucarelli (Reggina); Materazzi (Inter)
Cautioned: Aronica, Bianchi, Foggia, Giosa (Reggina); Figo, Maicon (Inter)

No Reggina home win in 2007

The Amaranto have collected 3 draws and 2 defeats from the five home matches played since the start of the calendar year. Reggina's last win at the Granillo was their 4-1 thrashing of high-flying Empoli on 23 December 2006.

Amoruso second all-time scorer for Reggina

Nicola Amoruso's goal against Catania on 18 March 2007 was his 20th for Reggina. The striker is now second in the all-time list of Reggina scorers in Italy's top flight. Cozza is first with 28 goals for the Calabrians.

Bianchi in Reggina history

No player has scored more goals in one Serie A season for Reggina than Rolando Bianchi, who has hit the target 15 times in 2006/07. The previous record was 11 goals.

Reggina's eight-game conceding streak

Reggina have conceded in each of their last eight league games, letting in a total of 13 goals.

Reggina and goals from subs in 2006/07

Only one Reggina substitute has scored a Serie A goal in 2006/07. Esteves came off the bench to score for the Amaranto against Catania on 18 March 2007.

Inter close to yet another record

The 2006/07 Inter side are two wins away from equalling the club's record of 27 victories in one Serie A season, set in 1950/51. The absolute record for the Italian championship belongs to the Great Torino side, who racked up 29 victories in 1947/48, the only Italian league season to be played with 21 teams over 42 matchdays.

Inter: new record of Serie A away wins

Inter have set a new club record of 13 Serie A away victories this season, bettering the previous record of 11 wins set in 1963/64 and 1988/89. Victory over Reggina will see Mancini's Nerazzurri equal Juventus' all-time record of 14 Serie A away wins in 1949/50.

Inter unbeaten in 37 games

Inter are unbeaten in 37 competitive matches, with 30 victories (including 11 wins in a row - 7 wins in Serie A, 2 in Coppa Italia & 2 in Champions League from 25 October 2006 to 2 December 2006 - a club record under the administration of Moratti) and 7 draws since their last defeat, a 2-0 home loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on 27 September 2006.

Inter without defeat in 20 away matches

Inter's last away defeat was the 1-0 Champions League loss to Sporting Lisbon on 12 September 2006. The Nerazzurri have won 16 and drawn 4 since then.

Inter unbeaten in Serie A since April 2006

Inter's last league defeat came way back on 30 April 2006 when they lost 1-0 at Empoli. Since then the Nerazzurri have collected 25 Serie A wins and 6 draws for a new club record of 31 top-flight matches without defeat. The previous record of 27 matches was set between 2003/04 and 2004/05.

Inter without defeat in 16 Serie away matches

Inter's last away defeat in the top flight came at Empoli last season. The Nerazzurri have won 13 (including 11 out of last 11) and drawn 3 since that date.

Inter's 22-game scoring run

The Nerazzurri have netted in each of their last 22 Serie A matches, scoring a total of 51 goals. Inter last failed to score in the league on 22 October 2006 when they played out a goalless draw with Udinese.

Inter's second-half form

Inter have improved their results in the second halves of matches this season to earn 22 points, more than any other team taking part in the 2006/07 Serie A championship.

Three likely scorers at the Granillo

Three of Inter's Argentine players are particularly prolific in the fourth calendar month. Julio Cruz, scorer of 59 Serie A goals, has netted 9 times in April. Solari has scored half of his 4 Italian league goals in the same month, while Crespo counts April as one of his best periods of the year along with November and February, with 18 goals in each month out of a total of 128.

REGGIO CALABRIA - Reggina held Inter 0-0 at the Granillo to end the Nerazzurri's 22-match scoring run in the Serie A championship.

Mancini's side, last held to a goalless draw in the league by Udinese on 22 October 2006, see their lead at the top of the table cut to eighteen points as Roma ran out 2-0 winners over Catania.

Inter were forced to make an early substitution in Reggio Calabria with Nicolas Burdisso replacing the injured Walter Samuel after just 7 minutes.

Reggina capitalised and produced the first scoring chance on 11 minutes when Lanzaro headed wide from inside the box.

A ten-minute period of Inter pressure ensued with an alert Campagnolo thwarting crosses from Figo and Adriano either side of Cruz' blocked 20-yard shot.

Bianchi sent a rising drive wide from Mesto's short free kick as the home side hit back before Fabio Grosso had a left-foot effort from 25 yards saved by Campagnolo.

Brazilian keeper Julio Cesar, back between the posts after sitting out last weekend's home win over Parma, made crucial saves from Mesto and Vigiani as Reggina pushed for an opener before the interval.

Cambiasso went close on the stroke of half time, finding the sidenetting with his neat backheeled effort from Grosso's pass.

Both keepers saw their fair share of the action in the second half. Campagnolo was quick off his mark to beat Cambiasso to Adriano's intuitive through ball on 48 minutes.

The Brazilian then had a thunderous shot blocked by Aronica as an Inter breakthrough looked increasingly likely.

It could have come ten minutes in but Cruz pulled his shot agonsingly wide after meeting Zanetti's ball into the area.

Julio Cesar made a stunning reflex save to keep out Di Dio's close range effort from Mesto's right-wing centre as relegation-threatened Reggina poured forward in search of a goal.

Campagnolo emulated Julio Cesar with a vital block from Cambiasso at the other end.

Cruz went close again for the Nerazzurri but fired wide after Campagnolo's one-handed save from Figo.

Reggina could have taken the lead through Bianchi but Julio Cesar read the move well and tipped behind Mesto's right-wing cross.

With time running out Mancini introduced Recoba for Grosso and switched to a 3-4-3 formation but there was no way through as a resilient Reggina defence held tight, with Campagnolo keeping out attempts from the Uruguayan and Adriano in the final minutes.
