Cup first for Reggina

In their history Reggina have never gone into a Coppa Italia return leg after a 4-1 defeat from the first leg.

No Reggina away win since 29 April 2007

Reggina have drawn 7 and lost 4 on their travels since their last away win, a 3-2 victory at Ascoli on 29 April 2007.

A club first for Inter

For the first time in their history Inter find themselves defending a 4-1 lead from a Coppa Italia first leg played away from home.

Mancini's first trophy of coaching career against Ulivieri

Roberto Mancini won the first trophy of his coaching career after a two-legged Coppa Italia final against Renzo Ulivieri's Parma. On 13 June 2001 Mancini's Fiorentina drew 1-1 at home to the Gialloblu after a 1-0 victory in Parma.

Inter: no home defeat in Coppa since December 2002

Inter 1-2 Bari on 19 December 2002 was the Nerazzurri's last defeat in Italy's cup competition. Since that round of 16 return leg fixture, Inter have won 11 and drawn 3 cup games at San Siro.

Inter unbeaten in 21 competitive games

Inter's last defeat in all competitions was the 1-0 Champions League loss at Fenerbahçe on 19 September 2007. Mancini's men have since notched 18 wins (including 11 from last 11 games) and 3 draws in Serie A, Champions League and Coppa Italia matches.

Inter on target in 13 consecutive games

The goalless draw at Palermo on 28 October 2007 was the last time the Nerazzurri failed to score in a competitive match. Mancini's players have scored a total of 35 goals in the 13 fixtures played since that match.

MILAN - Three goals, four first team debuts, and a double 'derby d'Italia' on the horizon.

Inter beat Reggina 3-0 at home to complete a 7-1 aggregate victory and set up a Tim Cup quarter-final meeting with Juventus.

Reggina's Emmanuel Cascione had a hand in the first two goals, turning into his own net twelve minutes after Hernan Crespo's deflected opener.

Cesar completed the scoring in added time at the end of the second half.

Roberto Mancini handed goalkeeper Enrico Alfonso his first start between the posts, with Primavera pair Fatic and Bolzoni in defence and midfield.

Two more youngsters, Balotelli and Pelé, had shots blocked by Novakovic as Inter dominated the early stages.

Solari then curled wide before Balotelli narrowly missed from a long-range drive.

Reggina's first chance came on the half hour when Koris forced Alfonso into a tipped save with a well taken shot from distance.

But Inter were always in control and took the lead in the 33rd through Crespo, whose 20-yard shot went in off Cascione.

Crespo went close to a second on 41 minutes, controlling a precise long-range pass from the impressive Pelé before sending his angled shot inches wide.

The Nerazzurri made extra sure of their place in the last eight on the stroke of half time.

Cascione intercepted Balotelli's pass for Crespo and unwittingly turned into his own net.

Inter made a half time switch, with Luca Siligardi replacing captain Dejan Stankovic.

The Nerazzurri almost scored again seconds after the break, Balotelli's overhead kick finishing on the roof of the net after Crespo lobbed Novakovic.

Reggina's best chance of a reply fell to Tullberg who tested Alfonso with a bicycle kick.

In the closing stages Mancini brought on Marco Filippini and his son Filippo Mancini for their first team debuts.

Inter weren't done and Cesar added a fine goal in added time.

The Brazilian collected a pass from Balotelli, made a solo run into the box and lifted over Novakovic from the tightest of angles.
