No Fiorentina goal against Inter in 625 competitive minutes

Fiorentina's last goal against Inter came their 3-1 Serie A defeat in Milan on 21 January 2007. It was scored by Luca Toni 5th minute. A total of 625 competitive minutes have elapsed since that goal - the last 5 minutes of that game plus the successive six meetings between the two teams (5 in Serie A and 1 in Coppa Italia).

Prandelli: 500 matches as coach

Cesare Prandelli will celebrate his 500th as a coach in tonight's game against Inter. His 499 games at the helm of Atalanta, Lecce, Verona, Venezia, Parma and Fiorentina are subdivided as follows: 333 in Serie A, 76 in Serie B, 45 in Coppa Italia, 44 in European competitions and 1 in Italian Super Cup. He has won 216 games, drawn 135 and lost 148. Prandelli made his coaching debut on 7 November 1993, when he co-coached Atalanta to a 0-0 Serie A draw at home to Piacenza following the sacking of Guidolin.

Gilardino set to make 400th appearance as a professional

By appearing against Inter, Alberto Gilardino will make his 400th appearance as a professional. His 399 appearances for Piacenza, Verona, Parma, Milan and Fiorentina are subdivided as follows: 312 in Serie A, 21 in Coppa Italia, 61 in European competitions and 5 in other tournaments. He made his debut in Piacenza's 1-0 home defeat to AC Milan in Serie A on 6 January 2000.

One Viola clean sheet in last 23 games

Fiorentina have kept only one clean sheet in their last 23 games - on 20 March 2010 when they beat Genoa 3-0 at home in Serie A. The Viola have let in a total of 34 goals in the other 22 matches.

Inter: three clean sheets since Roma defeat

With a 3-0 league win over Bologna and two 1-0 UCL victories at home and away to CSKA Moscow, the Nerazzurri have kept three clean sheets since their 2-1 defeat away to Roma on 27 March 2010. Luca Toni was therefore the last player to score against Inter (in the 72nd minute of that match).

Milito, Eto'o most decisive strike partnership

Diego Milito and Samuel Eto'o form the most decisive strike partnership in the 2009/10 Serie A after 33 rounds of matches. Their goals have earned Inter 32 points (15 Milito, 17 Eto'o).

Inter's scoring form away from home

Inter have failed to score in only one of their last 12 away games in all competitions (0-0 at Napoli on 14 February), netting a total of 14 goals in the other 11 matches. In Serie A, the Nerazzurri have failed to hit the target in only one of their last 13 away games (that draw in Naples), scoring 22 goals in the other 12 games.

Four likely scorers against Fiorentina

Four Inter players relish a goal or two against Fiorentina and their goalkeeper Sebastien Frey. Esteban Cambiasso has scored 4 of his 29 'Italian' goals against the Viola and 3 against Frey, while 2 of Sulley Muntari's 11 goals for Italian clubs have come against Fiorentina. Dejan Stankovic, who has scored 67 for Italian clubs, has put 3 goals past Frey, while Walter Samuel (21 goals) has netted twice against the Viola keeper.

FLORENCE - Diego Milito and Samuel Eto'o scored in the last fifteen minutes to cancel out Keirrison's early opener but Per Kroldrup popped up with an equaliser as Fiorentina and Inter shared the points in Serie A Week 33 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

José Mourinho had named an unchanged team from the one that knocked CSKA Moscow out of the Champions League but was forced into a quick rethink when Stankovic sustained a muscular injury during the warm-up. Chivu slotted in at left-back with Zanetti switching to midfield alongside Cambiasso.

It was a good start in Florence with Sebastien Frey forced into difficult saves from Sneijder and Eto'o in the first six minutes. In between, Milito got in at the far post to crash his diving header on to the post.

After ten minutes of Inter the Viola edged in front when Montolivo played in Comotto who crossed low across the face of the six-yard box for Keirrison to slot past Julio Cesar. It was Fiorentina's first goal in five games against Mourinho's Inter.

Fiorentina could have added an immediate second but Samuel timed his interception to perfection, denying Jovetic a close-range shot after a defence-splitting one-two with Keirrison.

Vital clearances from Chivu and Samuel on the stroke of half time kept the score at 1-0.

Mourinho brought on Balotelli for Chivu at the break and Inter went from 4-2-3-1 to 4-2-4.

But it was still the hosts who went closest and Jovetic narrowly missed with a low shot from a tight angle on the right after meeting Montolivo's through ball.

Inter then survived a double scare when Julio Cesar made close-range saves from Gilardino and Comotto.

Another change was needed and Mourinho introduced Muntari in place of Pandev. The change brought a goal and it came in the 75th minute when Milito banged in his 19th in Serie A this term.

Sneijder played wide to Maicon and the Brazilian swung in a fast low cross for the Prince to stab home from close range.

Milito should have scored a second two minutes later but he chose the near post instead of the far one after being put through by Sneijder. The Dutchman then missed by a whisker when his rising drive from a free kick flew inches over.

In what was a carbon copy of Inter's first goal, Sneijder and Balotelli combined to set up Eto'o for his 11th of the Serie A campaign on 81 minutes.

Eto'o's goal looked for victory but Fiorentina had other ideas and were level a minute later when Kropdrup slotted home at the far post after Inter failed to clear Jovetic's corner.

The draw leaves Inter with a two-point lead at the top of the table ahead of Sunday's games.
