Benitez v Bari / Ventura

Rafael Benitez faces Bari and their coach Giampiero Ventura for the first time in his coaching career.

Ventura v Inter

Giampiero Ventura faces Inter for the seventh time in his coaching career after 3 draws and 3 defeats. Inter have scored in all six games for a total of 16 goals.

Inter's 47-game unbeaten home run

The Nerazzurri are unbeaten at home since their 1-0 Champions League defeat to Panathinaikos on 26 November 2008, having won 36 and drawn 11 of their successive 47 games at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
In national competitions (Serie A, Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup), Inter haven't lost at home in 51 games, winning 39 and drawing 12 since their 2-1 league defeat to Juventus on 22 March 2008.
That loss against Juve was also Inter's last home defeat in Serie A (32 wins and 10 draws from their successive 42 league games).

Inter's second-half form

From 1-1 against Udinese to 2-1 in the second half, and from 0-1 to 2-1 against Palerm, Inter have earned five points in their second-half performances this season - more than any other team after three rounds of the Serie A championship.

Three second-half clean sheets for Inter

Inter have conceded two goals in three Serie A games - both in the first half. Bari have also let in two goals in their opening three games - both in the second half.

One Bari win in last 16 away games

Wednesday's visitors Bari have drawn 5 games and lost 10 on their Serie A travels since their last league win: a 2-0 victory at Lazio on 14 March 2010.

Barreto set for 200th match in Italy

If he plays against Inter on Wednesday, Bari's Paulo Vitor Barreto de Souza will complete a double century of appearances in Italian football. The Brazilian striker, who has also played for Treviso and Udinese, has played 87 games in Serie A, 97 in Serie B, 7 in the Coppa Italia and 8 in European competitions. He made his 'Italian' debut in Verona 0-0 Treviso (Serie B) on 11 September 2003.

No penalties called for or against Bari

Bari are one of three teams yet to have a penalty kick awarded in their favour or given against them in this season's Serie A. The other two are Lecce and Juventus.

MILAN - Samuel Eto'o set up one and scored two penalties, while Diego Milito was back to doing what he does best as Inter thrashed Bari to establish a one-point lead at the top of the table.

The Prince opened the scoring from Eto'o's cross in the first half, the Cameroonian added two second-half goals from the spot, and Stankovic assisted Milito for his second and Inter's fourth in the final stages.

It was a miserable night out for the Galletti but Ventura's men could easily have taken an early lead. We were still in the opening minute at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza when Ghezzal ghosted past Lucio and pulled back to Almiron, who crashed his shot against the post.

The opening goal came shortly before the half hour when Eto'o made a blistering run in from the left and shrugged off Pulzetti before crossing for Milito to head past a hapless Gillet.

Eto'o turned provider to scorer right after the break, sending the Bari keeper the wrong way from the spot after Rossi handled Sneijder's cross in the area.

It was the same story twelve minutes later when Eto'o tucked home his second of the night (and his eighth in seven games for Inter this season) after Rivas tripped Lucio.

Milito completed the rout four minutes from time, running through to receive Stankovic's pass and giving vent to his rage with a blistering shot that gave Gillet no chance.
