Cagliari looking for four straight home league wins for first time since 2009

Cagliari come into this match on the back of three consecutive home wins against Torino (4-3), Sampdoria (3-1) and Fiorentina (2-1). The last time they failed to win in front of their own fans was on 10 February, 1-1 against AC Milan. Three points today would see the men from Sardinia record four back-to-back victories in Serie A for the first time since November 2009 when they beat Genoa (3-2), Atalanta (3-0), Sampdoria (2-0) and Juventus (2-0).

Inter have scored in their last 29 matches against the Rossoblu

Inter have scored at least once in their last 29 meetings with Cagliari, hitting 58 goals in the process. The Nerazzurri last failed to scored against today's opposition on 28 April 1996 when they secured a goalless draw in Sardinia.

Inter, no stalemates in Serie A 2012/13

Inter – along with Roma – are one of only two sides in Serie A not to have drawn a match 0-0 this season. Fiorentina were the last team to hold the Nerazzurri to a goalless draw, on 22 April 2012, 35 matches ago.

Ranocchia's goals against Cagliari and Agazzi

Cagliari and keeper Agazzi are Andrea Ranocchia's preferred victims: the Italy defender has scored two of his 11 career goals against the men from Sardinia (he also has two against Bologna and Chievo Verona) and their goalkeeper (same number as Agliardi).

Draw in this season's earlier meeting

This is the second time Ivo Pulga comes up against Andrea Stramaccioni, after the 2-2 draw at the San Siro on 18 November 2012.

Always ends 2-2

Andrea Stramaccioni will meet Cagliari for the third time today. The Nerazzurri coach has recorded two 2-2 draws against the men from Sardinia, on 7 April 2012 in Trieste and on 18 November 2012 in Milan.
