Close up on Torino

Torino have won two of their last four Serie A games against Inter, after failing to win in the previous 21 against them (D6 L15).

Torino have gained only two points in their last 12 home Serie A meetings against Inter, and they’ve failed to score in nine of these games.

Belotti & Icardi

Andrea Belotti and Mauro Icardi are the two youngest players to have scored at least 20 goals this season in the top five European leagues.

Belotti (eight) and Icardi (six) are the two players with the most headed goals in the top five European leagues in 2016/17.

Considering only the last 13 MDs, Inter would be in second place in a Serie A table with 33 points, one fewer than Juventus.

Inter have won five of their last six away Serie A games (one defeat against Juventus) and they’ve conceded only three goals in this period.

Only Palermo (20) and Pescara (28) have conceded more goals than Torino (19) in the last nine Serie A games.

Torino have lost only one home game in Serie A 2016/17, against Juventus (W8 D4).

TURIN - Inter suffered a setback in the race for Champions League football on Saturday as they were forced to settle for a point at Torino.

In a match played at a frenetic pace by both sides, Geoffrey Kondogbia opened the scoring midway through the first half, squirming free of three players before firing beneath Joe Hart.

The hosts got themselves an equaliser five minutes later when Daniele Baselli stooped to head in from a corner as the first period ended 1-1.

In the second half Afriyie Acquah handed Torino the lead with an unstoppable finish from the edge of the box but just two minutes later Antonio Candreva volleyed Inter level.

The Nerazzurri had several chances to snatch a winner in the dying stages but a combination of fine goalkeeping by the England No.1 and poor finishing meant they had to settle for a single point.
