Lazio v Inter: Mancini's Primavera call-ups


Belec, Bolzoni, Fatic, Filippini, Pedrelli, Siligardi with first team for cup semi-final return leg

APPIANO GENTILE - Roberto Mancini has included six Inter Primavera players in his squad for Wednesday's Tim Cup semi-final return leg at the Stadio Olimpico.

Player by player, Mancini's Primavera call-ups for Lazio v Inter:

Vid Belec
Goalkeeper, born in Maribor, Slovenia on 6 June 1990. Played lots of tennis in his youth, choosing football as his main sport at the age of 12. Grew technically and physically in four and a half years with Maribor's youth academy, joining Inter's youth setup in December 2006 after a trial with Luciano Castellini. Belec became part of the Inter Primavera squad in 2007 and is currently the Under-19 team's first-choice keeper. A protagonist of last season's Scudetto triumph, Vid was among one of the most applauded custodians at the 2008 Carnival Cup - won by Inter. A Slovenian Under-19 international, he has spent the recent months training with both the first team and Inter Primavera. Shirt number: 51.

Francesco Bolzoni
Midfielder, born in Lodi, Milan province on 7 May 1989. In sixth season with Inter's academy after joining from local club San Colombano al Lambro. Made academy debut for Esordienti A (Under-13) team, winning Italian championship with Inter Primavera (Under-19s) last season. First-team debut came against Sampdoria in 2006/07 Tim Cup semi-final 2nd leg. Trained with Mancini's squad in 2007 pre-season, making several appearances in friendly matches. Made Champions League debut in home match against PSV Eindhoven on 2 October 2007, and started the Matchday 6 clash with the Dutch club. Trained with the first team during the winter training camp in Dubai and played 65 minutes of the Dubai Cup final against Internacional Porto Alegre. Currently a member of Italian Under-20 national team, Bolzoni became second youngest player ever make debut for Under-21 team. Was in Mancini's starting lineup for the 2007/08 Tim Cup round of 16 second leg match against Reggina. Shirt number: 36.

Ivan Fatic
Defender, born in Pljevlja (Montenegro) on 21 August 1988. Joined Red Star Belgrade academy age 5 and remained for 12 seasons, transferring to Chievo at age of 17. Signed for Inter's academy after six months with Verona-based side and currently plays for the Primavera team coached by Vincenzo Esposito and Marco Monti. Took part in pre-season training with first team and played several friendly matches. Fatic started the Tim Cup first leg match against Reggina to make his debut for the first team. Took part in the Dubai training camp and played 70 minutes of the Dubai Cup final against Internacional Porto Alegre. Was in Mancini's starting lineup for the 2007/08 Tim Cup round of 16 second leg match against Reggina. He played 51 minutes of the semi-final first leg against Lazio. Shirt number: 40.

Marco Filippini
Defender, born in Montichiari on 19 September 1988. Played for Montichiari from age 5-16, making Serie C2 debut with same club. Joined Inter Primavera this year and trained with first team in pre-season, taking part in numerous friendly matches. Came on in second half of 3-0 win against Reggina in 2007/08 Coppa Italia round of 16 return leg to make his first-team debut. Shirt number: 47.

Daniele Pedrelli
Midfielder, born in Fivizzano on 16 May 1988. Started playing football aged 6. Spent five years with Fivizzanese, three seasons at Focevara and four with Spezia before joining Inter's academy last season. Won national title last May with Esposito and Monti's Primavera side. Trained with first team in pre-season and played numerous friendly matches. Trained again with the first team during the winter training camp in Dubai and played 15 minutes of the Dubai Cup match against Ajax. Shirt number: 43.

Luca Siligardi
Midfielder, born in Correggio on 26 January 1988. Started playing football aged five, and spent seven seasons with Campagnola (in Reggio Emilia), one season with Riese (in Reggio Emilia) and two with Dorando Pietri (in Modena) before joining Parma. Spent one season with Gialloblu before returning to Dorando Pietri and playing in Eccellenza category. Now in second season with Inter Primavera, he was part of 2006/07 championship-winning side. Took part in last summer's international tournament for youth teams in Malaysia and trained with first team in Dubai earlier this month, playing 65 minutes of Dubai Cup match against Ajax. Came on in second half of 3-0 win against Reggina in 2007/08 Coppa Italia round of 16 return leg to make his first-team debut. Played the second half of the semi-final first leg against Lazio. Shirt number: 50.
