APPIANO GENTILE - The youngest player called up for the first-team's summer training camp in the South Tyrol is David Santon.
The defender-cum-midfielder, born in 1991, is back for pre-season training with the big boys after winning the Scudetto with Inter's Under-17 side last season following a series of appearances for the Primavera team.
"I was speechless when I heard that I would participate in the training camp," Santon told Inter Channel. "I couldn't believe it when they told me, and it's still almost hard to believe. It's a nice experience and I hope to do well and repay the faith."
Santon played in Maicon's role for the youth teams last season. "It would be nice to become like him," he said. "He's a great champion. But I just have to think about working. My dream? To make my (first-team) debut, but I have to focus on doing well for the Primavera team."
