Awards: Ranocchia is the Gillette Future Champion


After counting the fans' votes, the Nerazzurri defender beat the competition of Bonucci and Okaka

MILAN – Marco Materazzi and Paola Cammarano, head of public relations for Gillette, presented Andrea Ranocchia with the prestigious award “Gillette Future Champion” for the year 2010, as voted by the fans of all the teams on the official Gillette website (from 18 October  2010to 14 January 2011), which every year searches for the most promising talents of the Serie A. The Nerazzurri defender managed to beat the competition of the other two shortlisted players, Leonardo Bonucci and Stefano Okaka, and collected the prize during the award ceremony presented by the Mediaset journalists, Pierluigi Pardo.

Speaking at the event, Rannochia said: “Playing in Naples is always hard and we deserved to win on the penalty shootout. We did well to manage certain situations in the game.”
