APPIANO GENTILE - A few minutes ago the first training session came to a close, as the team began their preparation for the Fiorentina v Inter rearranged match from Week 17 Serie A 2010/11. The match will be played on Wednesday 16 February 2011 at the Stadio Comunale Artemio Franchi in Florence, kick-off at 18:30.
Leonardo and the technical staff divided the group of available players into two groups. The first group was made up of players who had been involved to a great extent in last night's match against Juventus in Turin and they had individual regenerative training in the gym or in the pool.
The second group included MacDonald Mariga, Dejan Stankovic (this was the second group training session for both of them after Saturday) and three Primavera players: goalkeeper Alberto Gallinetta, defender Felice Natalino and striker Denis Alibec. The second group had a full training session on the pitch.
Thiago Motta, who won't be available for the Fiorentina match through suspension (for a series of yellow cards), picked up an injury to his left foot towards the end of the match against Juventus and underwent his first therapy session this morning. Lucio trained individually (including skills-based work on the pitch). There were also individual recovery programmes for Walter Samuel and David Suazo. Diego Milito rested.
Tomorrow, Tuesday 15 February 2011, the squad will train at the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti. Following this Leonardo will hold a press conference at 14:30, before the team leaves for Florence.
