Tests for Cambiasso on a muscle problem (strained adductor) following the Bayern match

APPIANO GENTILE - This morning at the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti, the team's second training session took place, in preparation for Sampdoria v Inter, the evening kick-off of Week 27 Serie A 2010/11 to be played on Sunday 27 February 2011 at the stadio Luigi Ferraris in Marassi, Genoa.

After warming up, the group played mini-matches and football tennis. Following his warm-up exercises, Dejan Stankovic had a personalised regenerative programme. There were individual sessions for Ivan Ramiro Cordoba (strength-building exercises in sand), Diego Milito (a double-session including aerobics on the pitch), Thiago Motta (specific strength-building), Andrea Ranocchia (coordinated skills circuit), Walter Samuel (a double-session including aerobics on the pitch) and David Suazo.

This morning the medical staff gave Esteban Cambiasso tests for a muscle problem which came to light during Inter v Bayern Munich. The results confirmed a strain of the adductor muscle of his left thigh. After the tests the midfielder returned to the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti for his first session of physiotherapy.

Maicon rested as he is suspended and will not be eligible to play in Sampdoria v Inter.

Tomorrow, from 13:00, Leonardo will hold his pre-match press conference. Afterwards the players will have their final training session before leaving for Genoa.
