Thiago Motta: "Ranieri knows how to manage us"

"He's experienced enough to work with the group and know when we should play or rest"

GENOA - "Certainly before the goal we were playing against a very cautious team, who did well defensively while trying to score. After we went 1-0 up the game opened up more and it was better." Speaking to Inter Channel about the match was ex-Genoa midfielder Thiago Motta. He added that "Genoa changed a lot but we're used to thinking about ourselves regardless of who we're playing. It was important to get some continuity going - that was important for the team's morale."

Thiago Motta was then asked about his own fitness and the way the coaching staff manage the Nerazzurri group: "Ranieri is experienced and he's seen lots of things in football. He knows how to manage us players. At the moment we have to think about what's good for the group, so I think it's right that we should alternate and each of us take it in turns to play or rest. If we rotate like this we'll do better."
