"I rate my players purely on their football ability, on their physical, technical and mental ability," the coach replied. "I have no right to judge anyone on their sexual orientation. If a player were to come and talk to me about off-the-field matters, I'd listen to him and support him... but usually they ask me about diagonal balls, offsides [grinning]. They don't normally ask me about that sort of thing... In any case, if you're fond of someone, you're fond of them for what they are."
