Cassano back in the goals

Striker scores in two consecutive Serie A matches (Roma, Torino) for the first time in two years

TURIN (Statistics Football Data) Antonio Cassano is back. After the international break, the forward added another to his goal tally following his finish against Roma on 2 September, his first as an Inter player. Two years and several misadventures after he last scored in two consecutive league games. That was at the start of the 2010/11 season, when he started the campaign with Sampdoria before being sold in January by the Garrone family. On that occasion Cassano scored in three matches on the trot: on 29 August 2010 in Sampdoria’s 2-0 defeat of Lazio at the Stadio Marassi, on 12 September 2010 in a 3-3 draw with Juventus in Turin, and a penalty on 19 September 2010 in Sampdoria’s 2-1 home defeat to Napoli.
