Six years ago Inter reached the summit of Europe, becoming the first and only Italian team to win the treble

MILAN - "European champions, European champions," they cried in the stands of the Bernabeu on 22 May 2010. Jose Mourinho's Inter sealed one of the greatest moments in the club's history, winning the 2009/10 Champions League with a 2-0 win over Bayern Munich.

That trophy was the icing on the cake following a perfect run, beginning with the capture of the Coppa Italia on 5 May, before Inter's 18th league title was assured 11 days later. The Nerazzurri became the first and only Italian club to win the treble.
