The first round of international fixtures in 2024 is now over. 14 Nerazzurri players took to the pitch: they were involved in either friendlies or Copa America qualifying action. In total, they played 1587 minutes.

Lautaro Martinez reached a big milestone: in scoring his 22nd goal for Argentina in La Albiceleste's match against Costa Rica, the Nerazzurri captain entered the top ten in his country's all-time top goalscorer ranking. El Toro has drawn level with Leopoldo Luque and José Sanfilippo and is now chasing down Daniel Passarella, who sits ninth with 23 goals.

Both Barella and Calhanoglu also found the net. The Italian midfielder scored with a fine finish against Ecuador, while the Turk converted a penalty against Austria. Meanwhile, Buchanan experienced the joy of qualifying for the Copa America: a 2-0 victory over Trinidad and Tobago secured Canada's spot at the tournament, which will be held this summer.
