Vieri two away from Nerazzurri century

At the Meazza last Sunday Christian Vieri scored twice against Perugia to bring his total for the Nerazzurri to 98 goals. The centre-forward has scored 84 in the Serie A, 5 in the Coppa Italia, 5 in the Champions League and 4 in the Uefa Cup.

Vieri set to win 2003 top scorer title

Christian Vieri is on top of the scorers chart with 180 minutes of 2003 Serie A action to go. From January to the present date the Nerazzurri striker has scored 19 goals, 3 more than Juventus forward Trezeguet and 5 more than Adriano and Shevchenko. During the course of his career Bobogol has put 9 goals past Bologna, who like Roma are the team he has scored most against after Perugia (12) and Verona (10).

Second-half goals

Inter have scored 22 goals in the championship this season, with 13 of those coming in the last half hours of matches (incl. additional time). Expressed as a percentage, 59% of the Nerazzurri's goals have come in the last 30 minutes of matches.

Nerazzurri looking for sixth consecutive win

Inter notched their fifth consecutive championship victory last Sunday, and since the arrival of Zaccheroni the Nerazzurri have won 16 out of a possible 18 points. The 0-0 draw at home to Rome was followed by victories over ChievoVerona, Ancona, Reggina, Juventus and Perugia, and Inter have scored a total of 16 goals (an average of 3 per game). A win away to Bologna will see Inter equal a series of six straight victories under Gigi Simoni from March-April 1998: Atalanta (4-0), AC Milan (3-0), Vicenza (2-1), Sampdoria (3-0), Roma (2-1) and Udinese (2-0)

Rossoblu and fair play

Bologna and Juventus are the only two sides not to have had a player sent off in the domestic season so far. The Rossoblu's last red card was shown to Nervo in the 2-1 defeat at home to Inter on 7 March 2003. A total of 22 championship matches have been played since then.

Signori aiming to overtake Batigol

Beppe Signori's goal against Ancona last Sunday was his 184th in the Serie A. The Bologna forward, who has joined Gabriel Batistuta as the seventh top scorer of all time since the Serie A became a one-division championship, can now set his sights on Kurt Hamrin who scored 190 goals in the top flight.

BOLOGNA - Alberto Zaccheroni's Inter keep pace on the Serie A leaders thanks to a 2-0 victory away to Bologna on Sunday afternoon.

The Nerazzurri were rarely troubled in the opening forty-five minutes of their sixth consecutive domestic championship win, with the home side more creative after the restart when Tare came on for Rossini.

Inter's opening goal at the Dall'Ara came on the half hour. From the left wing Alvaro Recoba passed to Kily Gonzalez in the Rossoblu area then the Argentina winger played first time to Obafemi Martins, who, unmarked on the edge of the six-yard box stroked home.

Recoba added the second before half time, a low shot past Pagliuca from Cruz's assist which Martins unselfishly let roll through to the Uruguayan.
