Brescia: only one winning sub

Like Reggina and ChievoVerona, Brescia have scored with just one substitute so far this season: Bachini against Modena.

Baggio one away from 200

With his effort against Lecce last Sunday, Roberto Baggio is one away from celebrating 200 goals in the Serie A. If he scores against the Nerazzurri at the San Siro, Divine Ponytail will become the fifth player after Piola, Nordahl, Altafini and Meazza to have reached this milestone. And the stats point heavily in Baggio's favour seeing as he has scored 17 goals against the Nerazzurri, the last of which came in last October's match at the Rigamonti.

Di Biagio also up against favourite target

Luigi Di Biagio is another former Nerazzurri player who has scored more against Inter (and AC Milan) in his career than against any other club. The midfielder has put 5 past both Milanese sides.

Inter on target for 9 consecutive matches

The Nerazzurri have scored in their last 9 nine official matches (5 in Serie A, 3 in Coppa Italia and 1 Uefa Cup), for a total of 19 goals. The last time Inter failed to score was in the 1-0 defeat at home to Empoli on 18 January.

MILAN - Inter were beaten 3-1 at home to Brescia in Sunday afternoon's Lombardy derby at the Giuseppe Meazza.

After an uneventful first half the match sprang to life three minutes into the second period when Dejan Stankovic notched his second goal since joining the Nerazzurri. The Serb broke brought down Cruz' headed flick from Pasquale's cross then rammed right-footed past Castellazzi.

Stankovic was presented with two more chances in the following fifteen minutes. His first effort from Adriano's headed pass finished wide of the near post then his second shot from Cristiano Zanetti's cross was blocked.

The visitors drew level in the 67th minute, seconds after Adriano had failed to lift the ball over Castellazzi following a blistering 30-yard run. At the other end Caracciolo did what the Brazilian didn't do to bring the sides level.

The Swallows took the lead six minutes later through Del Nero, who beat Toldo with a close-range header from a right-wing corner, then had a goal ruled out for offside before Caracciolo hit the left-hand post instead of shooting into an open goal.

Brescia made the result safe in the 83rd minute when Caracciolo's header from Schopp's right-wing cross took a deflection off Helveg. The sparks flew in the final stages as Stankovic was red-carded for retaliation.

The Nerazzurri are back in action on Wednesday evening as they host Sochaux in the Uefa Cup third round return match.
