All of Inter's 2006/07 season records

Inter have set a string of records in their hugely successful 2006/07 Serie A season:
17 consecutive victories (new all time record in one-division Serie A championship)
29 victories (matches record set by Great Torino side in 1947/48)
94 points (new record in 20-team Serie A championship)
No away defeat (new club record, matches records set by Fiorentina, Perugia and AC Milan in 1968/69, 1978/79 and 1987/88 - all 16-team tournaments, and AC Milan again in 1991/92 and 1992/93 - 18-team tournaments)
15 away victories (all time record in one-division Serie A championship)
33 consecutive league matches without defeat (new club record, and new record in 20-team Serie A championship)
First 31 games without defeat (new record in 20-team Serie A championship)
Scudetto won with 5 games to spare (matches record for one-division Serie A championship set by Torino in 1947/48 and equalled by Fiorentina in 1955/56)
If Inter win or draw against Torino, the Nerazzurri will end the league season with just one defeat. This would be a new club record in the one-division Serie A championship, and would match the all time record set by Juventus last season.

Inter on target at home in 37 consecutive championship matches

Inter have scored in their last 37 Serie A home matches, scoring a total of 86 goals. The last time the Nerazzurri failed to score at home in the league was on 29 May 2005 when they were held 0-0 by Reggina.

Muzzi, Pancaro and goals against Inter & Toldo

Roberto Muzzi has scored more goals against Inter than any other Serie A team (9 out of 155). The Toro striker has only scored more (10 goals) against Serie B side Piacenza. Muzzi has scored more times against Francesco Toldo (7 goals) than any other goalkeeper.
Inter are Giuseppe Pancaro's favourite Serie A target. Of his 18 goals, the veteran defender has scored 3 against the Nerazzurri.

De Ascentis set for 400th match as professional

If he plays against Inter on Sunday, Diego De Ascentis will make a landmark 400th appearance as a professional player. The midfielder, who has played for Como, Bari, AC Milan, Torino and Livorno, made his debut in Como 0-0 Massese (Serie C1) on 27 August 1995. De Ascentis has played 188 times in Serie A, 142 in Serie B, 31 in Serie C2, 27 in Coppa Italia, 5 in European competitions, and 6 in other tournaments.

Toro 2006/07: three penalties in their favour and just nine players on target

With 90 minutes to go until the end of the season, Torino are the team to have had the fewest penalties awarded in their favour - just 3. The Granata are also one of four teams who have scored with just nine players this season. Toro's 2006/07 Serie A scorers are Rosina (9), Stellone (4), Abbruscato, Comotto and Muzzi (3 each), Bovo, Cioffi, Fiore and Franceschini (1 each). Their total of 27 goals in 37 games includes an own goal by Rivalta of Atalanta. The other three teams with the worst attacks of the 2006/07 championship are Catania, Reggina and Udinese.

MILAN - Italian champions Inter defeated Torino at the Meazza to end the Serie A season with 97 points and surpass Chelsea's record for one edition of a top European league.

Italy defender Marco Materazzi scored from the spot after 12 minutes to take his tally for the season into double figures.

Maicon scored a peach of a goal after the restart before Figo wrapped up the 3-0 win with another penalty.

Massimo Moratti watched the match sat next to Roberto Mancini on the Inter bench instead of in his usual seat in the Tribune of Honour.

The Inter president witnessed a first half of Nerazzurri domination, with Figo, Maicon and Maxwell sending in cross after cross from the flanks.

Inter were a goal to the good on 12 minutes when Materazzi blasted past Taibi from the penalty spot after a foul by the Torino goalkeeper on Mariano Gonzalez to bring his tally for the season into double figures.

On the half hour, Gonzalez slalomed through the Torino defence but failed to apply the final touch for a sure second goal.

The Granata, who secured Serie A safety last weekend, created little in the way of scoring chances in the opening period, with Di Loreto having a central shot easily saved by Toldo before he blasted into the Curva Nord from 25 yards.

Inter could have been 2-0 up on the stroke of half time but Crespo just failed to flick home Maxwell's dangerous inswinger from the left.

The pace dropped considerably in the opening stages of second half.

Maicon upped it fifteen minutes in with a splendid effort - his third of the season after goals against Sampdoria and Valencia.

The Brazilian drilled left-footed into the far corner after a darting run into the box.

Figo added the third on 67 minutes, firing past Taibi from the penalty spot after a Brevi trip on Mariano Gonzalez to make it two goals in as many games.

The Portuguese ace was then given a standing ovation from the Meazza faithful as he made way for Solari.

Mancini introduced Lambros Choutos for Mariano Gonzalez in the closing stages. The Greek striker scored what he thought was Inter's fourth after receiving in the area from Solari, only for the flag to go up for offside.

The Nerazzurri continued their search for another goal in the final minutes, with Recoba and Stankovic forcing Toro sub Fontana into saves.
