Inter unbeaten at home in cup for over six years

Inter's 2-1 Coppa Italia round of sixteen return leg loss to Bari on 12 December 2002 was their last home defeat in the competition. In their 19 cup games at home since that date, the Nerazzurri have won 14 games and drawn 5.

Fifteen-match unbeaten run at home in Italian competitions

Inter haven't lost a home fixture in a domestic competition since their 2-1 home defeat to Juventus on 22 March 2008. The Nerazzurri have since played 15 Serie A, Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup matches, winning 10 and drawing 5.

Adriano, Stankovic, Zanetti and goals against Roma

Three Inter players have scored more against Roma than any other Italian team: Adriano (6 out of 103), Dejan Stankovic (4 out of 59) and Javier Zanetti (2 out of 19). The Brazilian has scored the same number of goals against Juventus. The Serbian has put 4 past Lecce and AC Milan, while the Argentine has scored twice against Cremonese.

Giallorossi on target in 20 consecutive games

Roma have scored in 20 Coppa Italia matches in a row, scoring a total of 37 goals. The last time the Giallorossi failed to scored in the domestic competition was back on 1 February 2006 when they lost 1-0 to Juventus.

Roma's cup form away from home

Luciano Spalletti's team have scored in each of their last 11 away games in the Tim Cup, netting a total of 18 goals. The last time they failed to score in a cup match away from home was in the return leg of the 2004/05 final when they lost 1-0 to Inter. Roma have kept just one clean sheet in their last 25 Coppa away games: a 3-0 win at Napoli on 8 December 2005. They have since played 24 away games, conceding 41 goals.

Roma's 14-match scoring streak in 2008/09

The Giallorossi have scored in each of their last 14 competitive fixtures, scoring a total of 27 goals. They last failed to score in the 2-0 Serie A defeat at Juventus on 1 November 2008.

MILAN - Adriano scored an early goal and Zlatan Ibrahimovic added an outrageous second right after Taddei's equaliser as Inter knocked out the Tim Cup holders and progressed through to the last four.

After wins in the Italian Super Cup and the league, José Mourinho's Inter completed a hat-trick of victories over Roma to set up a two-legged semi-final against this coming Sunday's Serie A opponents Sampdoria, who ousted Udinese after a penalty shootout.

Mourinho made a string of changes to the side that lost at Atalanta at the weekend, handing 18-year-old Italian full-back Davide Santon his competitive debut and pairing Adriano in attack Ibrahimovic.

Roma had a goal ruled out early on when Mirko Vucinic saw the ball over the line with his hand.

Inter hit straight back and Adriano took advantage of a collision between Mexes and Juan before shrugging off a challenge from Riise and shooting low past Artur for his seventh goal in games against the Giallorossi.

Stankovic almost doubled Inter's lead with what would have been a candidate for goal of the season, striking the crossbar with a stunning volley on the turn from Maicon's cross.

Spectacular efforts were the order of the day and Ibrahimovic tried to lob Artur after ghosting into the box but the Giallorossi keeper produced a tipped save.

The rest of the half belonged to Roma. Perrotta tested Francesco Toldo with a well taken angled shot and the veteran keeper then denied Vucinic before keeping out Perrotta's deflected shot.

The Ibra-Adri partnership continued to work well after the restart and the Swede, voted Italy's Player of the Year for 2008 several days ago, had the crowd gasping with an incredible volley after a powerful move by his strike partner.

Set to make way for Pizarro, Taddei silenced the Meazza with a cracking rising drive from Perrotta's pull-back as Roma levelled in the 61st minute. But Inter provided the perfect reaction and were back in front within sixty seconds when Ibrahimovic spectactularly hooked home after Artur parried Samuel's header.

Toldo pulled off another expert save from Pizarro, and Aquilani, on for the last ten minutes, hit the sidenetting and sent wide an overhead kick as Roma fought hard to force extra time.
