Buffon's Nerazzurri nightmare

Gianluigi Buffon has picked the ball out of the back of the net more times against Inter than any other side: 39 of his 571 total career goals conceded have come against the Nerazzurri.

One home defeat in 18 for Inter

The Nerazzurri have lost just once in their last 18 outings on home soil: Bologna edged a 0-1 victory in San Siro on 10 March (Serie A). Inter have won 12 and drawn five of the other 17 games played in this period.

Inter (yellow) and Juve (red) kings of fair play

Inter have collected fewer yellow cards (58) than any other team in the 2012/13 Serie A campaign, while Juventus are the only top-flight side yet to have had a player sent off. The last Bianconeri player to receive his marching orders was Bonucci on 7 March 2012 in Bologna 1-1 Juventus, 41 matchdays ago.

No bore draws for Nerazzurri in 2012/13

Inter and Roma are the only two teams yet to have been involved in 0-0 draw in 2012/13 Serie A. Stramaccioni's side's last goalless stalemate came away to Fiorentina on 22 April 2012, 32 matchdays ago.

MILAN – A rain-soaked Week 30 encounter between Inter and Juventus ended 2-1 to the visitors this afternoon.

Quagliarella's superb long-range strike put the Bianconeri in front after just three minutes but Inter battled back into the game and went close through Cassano and Palacio before the break.

Inter levelled matters nine minutes into the second half when Cassano rolled the ball into the path of Palacio's driving run: the Argentine burst into the area with his first touch and finished clinically with his second.

Parity lasted just six minutes however, as Quagliarella's low delivery found Matri in the six-yard box.

Inter were denied a penalty in the 72nd minute when Chiellini clearly caught Cassano, but the Nerazzurri didn't let their heads drop and kept knocking on the door until the fourth minute of added time for an equaliser that unfortunately never came.

Cambiasso was shown a straight red card right at the death for a nasty foul on Giovinco borne out of frustration. The midfielder apologised immediately on the pitch and again in the dressing room afterwards.
