MORATTI: "A MESSAGE SENT"

MILAN - A visibly satisfied Massimo Moratti spoke to Inter Channel after watching the Nerazzurri come back from behind to defeat Sampdoria 3-2 at the San Siro. "It was an advertisement for football and Inter," said the club owner. "Today's match was an exact picture of the team and its fans who always feel a wave of emotions, and which today were very positive at the end of the match."

Moratti continued: "It wasn't an easy match for the team. We had a lot of chances; we missed a few and the their keeper did well to save others. With great heart we won a match considered lost by most of the fans, who were already leaving a few minutes from the end. When you watch Inter you should always remain seated until the end. I was happy when the third goal came, just like the fans. This result proves Mancini and the team right. Today we sent a message to the others and to ourselves. We showed that we can turn around a match in five minutes. We have the players to do this and the character to succeed."

On Alvaro Recoba's performance, Moratti said: "He was extraordinary, but he's like this."
