MILAN - After reaching a verbal agreement on Thursday, Inter and Siena officials met at the Nerazzurri's headquarters in Palazzo Durini this morning to close the deal which sees Giovanni Pasquale move on loan to the Tuscan club until 30 June 2005. The player and his representatives took part in the meeting and signed the relative contracts which were then registered at the Lega Calcio offices in Milan.
Pasquale is one of the many Nerazzurri youngsters who have made the jump from Primavera to first team. After winning the Primavera Scudetto and Viareggio Tournament in 2001/2, the left-back made his first-team debut the following season. He has played 36 Serie A matches, 17 in the Champions League and 4 in the Coppa Italia.
"I'm very happy about this decision which was taken by myself and the club," declared Pasquale to Inter Channel. "Everyone will benefit from this decision. I will play more regularly and so I will be able to improve. Inter still believes in me and has the chance to see how I grow at an important club like Siena. This is just a farewell, but now I have to think about doing well at my new team and Sunday's relegation battle with Atalanta - a match in which I will be up against my friend and former teammate Lampros Choutos.
