MILAN - "We started off with an advantage tonight thanks to the victory in the first leg. Messina did a bit better than us in the first twenty minutes, when we weren't playing very well. We were defending well but weren't moving well in attack. Then our first goal came and the match changed," said Roberto Mancini after Inter's 4-0 Coppa Italia drubbing of Messina at the Meazza.

"We're in form and are playing with great tranquillity at the moment; it's a good period for the team. We played well today even though we had changed many players compared to Sunday."

Commenting on the performances of Adriano and Andreolli, the Inter coach added: "Adri can improve a lot. He played tonight but perhaps he shouldn't have because he had a back problem. But we didn't have any strikers and he went on the pitch all the same. He's fifty percent at the moment. Andreolli is a talented lad, he's young and should be playing a bit more. When we can, we will give him the chance to play. I hope to use him a bit more in the next matches; we will see.

"They all really did very well today. There were a lot of good performances, and among others, those of Samuel, Toldo, Burdisso and Mariano Gonzalez come to mind. I saw many positive things on the pitch from everyone."
