Cambiasso: "All happy for Maxwell"

Ninety minutes for Argentine midfielder on return from injury

MILAN - Esteban Cambiasso returned from injury to help Inter defeat Parma and stretch the long  unbeaten run to 37 matches. "It was important to win, we must continue on this path because it is this attitude that has seen us achieve so many positive results," the Argentine said. "I'm pleased about the team's performance and the three points, and also because I returned and played ninety minutes in a difficult match. I knew I would find it a bit hard, but it all went well."

Cambiasso, who went close to scoring early on in the game, added: "We showed once again today what a great team we are. We're all very happy for Maxwell, we were waiting for him to score after the difficult times he has been through. We're happy to see him in such good form after the period of recovery he spent with this group. And we're also happy about Hernan's goal. He slotted into an open net from a few yards out and we should all congratulate Adriano who made this spendid assist when he could have scored himself. This is proof that we are a great group that works every day with the same objective.

"Yesterday's visit of Massimo Moratti and Marco Tronchetti Provera to Appiano? We have to thank them, and we're proud of all our managers because they have always been right behind the team and have given us the right encouragement. We now want to make a great finish to the season so we can dedicate this year to them, without forgetting the great Giacinto Facchetti who unfortunately is no longer with us."
