MAXWELL: "HAPPY FOR MY BRAZIL"

Inter left-back on Selecao's Copa America triumph and his own national team aspirations

BRUNICO - Brazilian defender Maxwell answered questions from the press during a news conference following Monday morning's training session in Riscone di Brunico:

Maxwell: did you watch the Copa America final between Brazil and Argentina? Are you happy with the result?
"Sure. No one was expecting it, but a final is always a final. I'm happy for Brazil's victory. No one was expecting this big win, Brazil played very well and deserved to win. There could have been a few more goals."

Did you watch the match together at the training camp. Did you Brazilians celebrate?

"We were together in the bedroom with Adriano and Julio Cesar. Materazzi was there too, and Solari came now and again. Just about everybody was around watching the match. Us Brazilians celebrated, but with great respect. Did we joke with the Argentines? Yes, but with great respect."

Is the national team a future objective for you?
"Yes, it's certainly a future objective, but to I have to find continuity at Inter to get in the national team. I'm hoping to do well in every competition to get into the national team."

Do you know Luizao, the young Brazilian Under-20 player. Inter seem to be interested in him.
"No, I don't know him."
