BRUNICO - Part two of Maxwell's question and answer session in Brunico:
Maxwell: now that Grosso has left, the left wing is yours...
"I'm at the service of the coach. But there's always competition in a great team. For example, Burdisso and the captain can play in that position. I try to be focused and make my contribution. Like I said, I'm at the service of the coach."
Were you expecting to be competitive at the top level again after your serious injury?
"I certainly believed I could. I came from a very bad injury and was a bit scared, but I have always believed. I'm happy to have played with continuity last year, now I want to give more and more to Inter."
And then you scored that splendid goal against Parma...
"For me that (goal) was very, very important."
What do you like most about this training camp?
"The team's quality has impressed me. You can see it's very good. And I'm pleased that the work is going ahead well and quickly."
You know Cristian Chivu very well...
"He's a great player with great ability. We played together at Ajax for two years. He would bring in more quality if he joins Inter. Could he play on the left? There wouldn't be any problems, a player of that quality can only be useful to the team. And at Inter there are only great players."
How do you think Chivu is dealing with this moment?
"He's a great lad, he's certainly handling this difficult situation with great tranquillity. However, I don't know what he wants and I haven't spoken to him about this situation. But he's a professional and he will do well wherever he goes. Have I called him recently? No."
Mancini said yesterday that Inter need to improve their depth on the wings. This could benefit you as you are very good in that role...
"Our responsibility in that role is to defend well, but also to push forward and help out in attack. Maicon does this very well and I also try to help out the midfielders. I'm hoping to be fit physically to play on the wing with continuity."
With the disqualified players in the Champions League, how will do you in defence?
"We will all do well together. We're strong and we can deal with the situation."
