ZANETTI: "WE KNOW WHAT WE HAVE TO DO"

ISTANBUL - Javier Zanetti was asked to comment on the possible debut of Colombian defender Nelson Rivas during today's UEFA news conference. "He just has to stay calm, be confident and know we're all there with him," replied the Inter captain before analysing the Nerazzurri's Champions League Matchday 1 opponents.

"We have great respect for Fenerbahçe and for the heated atmosphere that awaits us. We have to be careful and play our match, but we know well what we have to do.

"We're hoping for a different start to the Champions League than last season. The team's unity can help us return to Milan with a good result."

Fenerbahçe's squad counts a trio of stars in Roberto Carlos, Alex and Kezman. "They are three great players," said Zanetti. "I know Roberto Carlos personally but we weren't together at Inter for long because he made a different choice. But we got on well together."
