Zanetti: "A deserved victory"

"United? My team-mates don't need motivating, they already know how important this game is"

BOLOGNA - Javier Zanetti spoke on Inter Channel after captaining the Nerazzurri to victory over Bologna.

"From start to finish we showed we wanted to win," Zanetti said. "Winning today was fundamental in making the best preparations for Tuesday's game against Manchester United. It was a very deserved victory against a great Bologna."

Zanetti's colleagues greeted former assistant coach and team-mate Sinisa Mihajlovic before kick-off. "I think it was right to greet Mihajlovic," said the captain. "He was part of the great Inter family."

Looking ahead to Tuesday's visit of reigning European champions Manchester United, Zanetti revealed: "We will approach this match with the maximum tranquillity and serenity. We know we face a great team, one of the best in the world, but Inter have the capabilities to do well and I think we showed this today. San Siro has been sold out for a few weeks now. It will be very exciting."
