APPIANO GENTILE - In his last press conference of the season at Inter's training ground, José Mourinho sat alongside vice coach Giuseppe Baresi, his assistants Rui Faria, Daniele Bernazzani and Andrè Villas Boas, goalkeeper coach Silvino and fitness coach Claudio Gaudino.
"I want to take advantage of this occasion to thank them and everyone who has worked for Inter," Mourinho told journalists. "For all of them there's a piece of the cup that we will lift together. We are a family and for this reason I will leave the magic of the bench to them tomorrow."
For the first time this season in a pre-match press conference, Mourinho revealed his starting linup. "Julio Cesar; Zanetti, Cordoba, Samuel, Chivu; Stankovic, Cambiasso, Muntari; Figo; Ibrahimovic and Balotelli will play," he said.
Mourinho, who has exended his contract with the Nerazzurri until 2012, explained that there will be no changes to his philosophy next season: "My way of working doesn't change if there's an extra year on my contract. My continuity will always be the same. I thank the club for their faith, but my way of thanking them isn't kisses and embraces. It's winning on the pitch. I like it here and I believe we can do more. The club has been working hard and well for many months. There will be a new project, with a few risks, but it will be fascinating for everybody. For the president, for the technical department, for all of us."
At the end of the season it's time for analyses, including that of José Mourinho. "After being completely in love with a team like Chelsea, I thought it was impossible to develop the same kind of feeling in just one year," admitted the Portuguese. "This has happened with Inter; I am in love with this team. And this is thanks to the honesty of the players, the love for Inter that everyone who works at this club has, and the fans, who I have learnt to know. The Inter fans have a really special passion for this shirt."
After Inter's final match of the season at home to Atalanta, the Italian champions will be presented with the Scudetto trophy, but the coach reminded that "there will be 50% joy for the championship victory, but also 50% of silence to be close to the families of the workers who, unfortunately, lost their lives during the week at Saras in Cagliari."
