Inter remains on ECA executive board

Paolillo confirmed as head of finance working group. Applause for Figo, who takes part in friendly

GENEVA (Switzerland) - The 2010 General Assembly of ECA (which last night presented Inter with the European Club of the Year award for achievements in Italy and Europe) came to a close this morning with the appointment of the executive board and chairmen of its various working groups.

All the delegates at the two-day event at the InterContinental Hotel in Geneva appreciated the participation of Inter ambassador Luis Figo, who joined other former greats like Michel Platini, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Emilio Butragueno for a friendly match.

Inter remains a member of ECA's executive board, while Ernesto Paolillo is still chairman of the finance working group which will work closely with UEFA on the development of five major points for the economy of European football: financial fair play, redistribution of club income derived from participation in cups, search for new resources, insurance cover for clubs whose players are injured during national team duty, and the management of finances that ECA receives from UEFA each season.
