"There are still a lot of games left and this post-World Cup championship is different"

TURIN - "It was one of those Juventus v Inter games that we have become used to over the past few years. We took too long to get to grips with the game and then, in the second half, we were unlucky and imprecise in our finishing." This is how Inter's technical director, Marco Branca, described tonight's game at the Stadio Olimpico to Inter Channel.

"Does this defeat change anything? No, it shouldn't, because we have had a series of positive results to take ourselves into the part of the table where we can challenge seriously for the title. And there are still a lot of games to go. I think this year's championship is different, as happens after a World Cup, with many tough matches to play."

He went on to talk about Inter's most recent signing near the end of the transfer window, Nagatomo: "We have great confidence in him. He has already settled in with his team-mates and his technical preparation is almost over." Branca also confirmed that, with Thiago Motta suspended for the next match, the Japanese defender would be available for next Wednesday's rearranged match against Fiorentina from Week 17: "Yes, it was decided last week that Yuto would be available for Leonardo for the match in Florence."
