COPA AMERICA 2011 SET TO KICK OFF TONIGHT

Inter the club with the most players in the tournament. Argentina v Bolivia at 2:45 CET

MILAN – Today the 43rd edition of the Copa America gets underway in Argentina. Ten South-American nations, Mexico (a permanent "guest") and Costa Rica (who replaced Japan) will be competing in the tournament: 26 matches played across eight cities in the north and the middle of the country. The twelve teams are divided into three groups of four, with the top two from each group plus the two best third-placed teams qualifying for the quarter-finals. After the group stage, the competition takes on a knockout formula leading up to the final on 24 July.

Six Nerazzurri players are involved in the Copa America: three Argentinians, Javier Zanetti, Esteban Cambiasso and Diego Milito, and three Brazilians, Julio Cesar, Lucio and Maicon. That means Inter have more players in the competition than any other club.

Argentina are in Group A with Colombia, Costa Rica and Bolivia, while Brazil will do battle with Ecuador, Paraguay and Venezuela in Group B. The first match takes place tonight at 2:45 CET: Argentina v Bolivia (live on Sky Sport 1) in La Plata, at the Estadio Ciudad de La Plata.

"I'm proud to be taking part in the Copa America and it would be great if we could win it right here, in our country. It won't be easy but I have confidence in this group," said Javier Zanetti.
