Forte: "What a thrill to make debut! For my family"

"Very focused and totally fired up when I came on, but I haven't forgotten that I'm a Primavera player"

MILAN - Francesco Forte made his competitive debut against Roma this evening. "It was such a thrill," he explained to Inter Channel. "I'd been on the bench before but actually getting out onto the pitch is another feeling altogether."

The 19-year-old striker continued: "I'm very upset about the result. We were leading 1-0 and in control of the game. Then it all went pear-shaped. I tried to cap it with a goal? Yes, I had a shot with my right, which isn't my best foot, and it went wide. When I came on I was very focused and totally fired up. Who do I want to dedicate my debut to? My family, who have always believed in me and given me their support.

"I'm still a Primavera player though and we have a match on Saturday. We need to hope AC Milan slip up so that we can sneak into the Final Eight directly. If that doesn't happen, we'll give it our all so that we can defend the title we're wearing on our shirts."
