The best goals of 2016

MILAN - It's not easy to choose the five best goals of 2016. Do you select a great piece of skill or prefer to get swept up in the elation of a last-minute strike? We've narrowed it down to the following goals but it's up to you to pick your favourite. 19 January, 2015/16 Coppa Italia quarter-finals: The Nerazzurri return to the Stadio San Paolo, a few weeks on from the late kick-off in Week 14 of Serie A when, despite an exciting climax and two efforts off the woodwork in added time, Inter surrendered top spot to none other than the Azzurri. In the second half, with the scoreline goalless, Medel wins the ball in midfield and feeds Jovetic. The Montenegrin carries the ball until the edge of the box before sweeping a dipping finish into the top corner to secure the win. 9 April, Frosinone v Inter: Week 32 of Serie A and Icardi is on the hunt for his 50th goal in 100 appearances and immediately makes his mark. Jovetic spreads the ball wide to Perisic and Mauro Icardi steers the Croatian's cross towards the penalty spot imperiously into the far corner. The header brings up a half century for the Argentine and seals a 1-0 victory. Now onto the current campaign and the first Milan derby on 20 November. Inter push forward in search of an equaliser after the Rossoneri lead at the break. Perisic takes a quick throw-in down the left and the ball is rolled square to Candreva. The Italian just needs time to get the ball out of his feet before thumping an effort from 25 yards into the top corner. Fiorentina are the visitors to San Siro the following week. The Nerazzurri make a fast start and quickly lead 2-0. But there is more to come. Candreva plays the ball through to Icardi who feints to shoot and leaves Gonzalo Rodriguez on his backside. He then dummies his way past Astori before leaving Tatarusanu no chance with the finish. The fifth and final goal we've chosen is Marcelo Brozovic's strike against Genoa on 11 December. Joao Mario's corner from the right finds its way to the Croatian at the back post and he controls a shot back across goal on the half volley to pick out the bottom corner.
