Our No.1 after Inter's 2-1 success at Udinese: "We knew it wasn't going to be easy but victory today proves we've got what it takes to fight for the top spots"

UDINE – Inter's comeback victory over Udinese is proof of Inter's pedigree, according to Samir Handanovic.

"These three points are a message to ourselves and to the rest of the league,” the Nerazzurri keeper said after Ivan Perisic's double secured a 2-1 win in Friuli on Sunday afternoon.

"This win today shows we've got what it takes to fight for the top spots. It's a big win and one we'll enjoy.

“We knew it wasn't going to be easy – this is not an easy place to come for anyone and Udinese have taken 10 points from their last five home games.

“We struggled at the start but we bided our time. Scoring that equaliser just before the break gave us confidence and we came out for the second period with a spring in our step. We took advantage of the space Udinese afforded us."
