Inter vs. Sassuolo, all the match information

MILAN – Following Inter’s comfortable 6-2 win against Benevento in the Coppa Italia, Luciano Spalletti’s men are set to return to Serie A TIM action as the second half of the season begins. On Saturday 19 January at 20:30 CET, the Nerazzurri will face Sassuolo at San Siro on matchday 20.

The last meeting between the sides in Milan saw the Neroverdi come out on top, recording a 2-1 win after goals from Matteo Politano – then a Sassuolo player – and Domenico Berardi. Rafinha’s strike turned out to be a consolation for the Nerazzurri. The team from Emilia-Romagna also triumphed on matchday one this season after Berardi’s penalty secured a 1-0 win at the Mapei Stadium. Sassuolo, who are coached by Roberto De Zerbi, come into the game on the back of a 6-2 defeat at home to Atalanta and are currently eleventh in the league with 25 points to their name. In Serie A, they have won six, drawn seven and lost six, scoring 30 and conceding 32 in the process.

Luca Pairetto will officiate Inter vs. Sassuolo in what will be the teams’ twelfth meeting in Serie A.
